What is Novalgin?
Novalgin containing the active ingredient analgin is considered an analgesic and antipyretic type of medication. It is mainly used to treat severe or resistant pain and fever. Some patients will use it to treat conditions such as headaches, toothaches, myositis, neuralgia, arthralgia and visceral pain.
How is Novalgin used?
Novalgin should be taken orally 1 to 4 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with some water. Contact a doctor for correct dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the medication.
Adverse effects
Patients using Novalgin may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Nausea
- Renal failure acute
- Vomiting
- Breathing difficulty
- Diarrhea
- Skin irritation

- Pneumonia
- Leucopenia
- Agranulocytosis
- Thrombocytopenia
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Novalgin is not always suitable for all patients.
