What is Nupentin?
Nupentin is an antiepileptic or anticonvulsant prescribed to help manage seizures which are a result of epilepsy. It works by managing chemicals located in the brain more effectively, helping to inhibit pain and seizures by affecting the signals sent between nerves and the brain. Some people may also use the medication to treat a variety of conditions such as diabetes and shingles caused by neuropathic pain.
How is Nupentin used?
Nupentin is usually taken 1 to 3 times per day at evenly spaced intervals or as directed by a doctor. Normally the doctor will start you on a low dosage and gradually increase the dosage but do not adjust the dosage without a doctor’s consent. The medication can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Always consult a health care provider for the correct dosage and always follow their instructions as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy.
