What is Olmesmart 40?
Olmesmart 40 containing the active ingredient olmesartan is considered an angiotensin II receptor antagonist type of medication. The medication blocks certain receptors to allow blood vessels to widen which cause less resistance in blood vessels and allow blood to flow easier. The tablets are mainly prescribed in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Closely monitoring your blood pressure levels can help prevent future heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems.
How is Olmesmart 40 used?
Olmesmart 40 is usually taken orally once daily or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water.
