What is Onsior Cat?
Onsior Cat containing the active ingredient robenacoxib is considered a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used for the relief of acute pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders in cats. The tablets should be taken with cats that weigh 2.5kg to 6kg.
How is Onsior Cat used?
Onsior is usually taken orally once daily at the same time every day for no longer than 3 days. The tablet should be taken on an empty stomach or with very small amount food. Contact a veterinarian for correct dosage as it will depend on the pet's condition, weight and response to the medication. The tablets should be taken whole and not divided or broken.
Adverse effects
Onsior may cause unwanted side effects such as:
- Stomach ulceration
- Diarrhea
- Soft feces
- Vomiting
- Decreased appetite
Contact a veterinarian should side effects persists or worsen.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
