What is PanaKare Plus Powder?
PanaKare Plus Powder is a pancreatic enzyme concentrate of porcine origin fortified with the fat soluble vitamins A, D and E. The dietary supplement is a replacement therapy if the pet’s pancreas has stopped producing enzymes needed to digest fat, protein, sugars and carbohydrates. The powder is used to treat weight loss, hair loss and other health issues caused by Pancreatic Insufficiency Disorder (PID).
How is PanaKare Plus Powder used?
PanaKare Plus Powder should be given to the pet at every meal unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian. The powder should be added to moistened pet food and mixed thoroughly to ensure the enzymes come into close contact with the food particles. After mixing, the food should be left at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes prior to feeding the pet. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the pet’s weight, condition and response to the treatment. The recommended dosage is usually 3/4 to 1 teaspoon for dogs and 1/4 to 3/4 teaspoon for cats.
