What is Panoramis?
Panoramis containing the active ingredients spinosad and milbemycin oxime is considered a broad spectrum parasite control. The tasty meat flavored tablets is a long lasting treatment and preventative for heartworms, hookworms, roundworms, whipworms and fleas and flea allergy dermatitis. The fast acting medication starts killing fleas within 30 minutes of administration for as long as 1 month. The chewable tablets offer all the protection your dog requires without the mess, inconvenience and need for isolation when applying topical solutions.
How is Panoramis used?
Panoramis is usually given to the pet one tablet once per month or as directed by a doctor. The chewable tablets can be given directly to the pet just before a meal or hidden in their food. Watch the dog for several minutes following administration to ensure the entire dose is consumed, re-dose as soon as possible with the full dose if the entire dose is not consumed. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the dog’s weight, condition and their response to the therapy. The medication should be used on dogs weighing between 4.6kg and 9kg.
Adverse effects
Pets given Panoramis may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Vomiting
- Lethargy
- Diarrhea
- Pruritis
- Decreased appetite
Contact a veterinarian immediately should side effects persist or worsen.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Panoramis is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.
