What is Prandial?
Prandial is a medication used in the management of type-2 diabetes mellitus in adults. The medication works by controlling high levels of sugar in the blood and making the body more sensitive to naturally produced insulin. It is usually a 2nd line treatment when diet, exercise and a single drug cannot provide an adequate glycemic control. How is Prandial used?
Prandial is an orally administered medication usually taken 2 to 3 times per day unless otherwise directed by a doctor. The tablets should be taken with a meal along with a glass of water.
