Protektor Spray (Fipronil) - 0.25% (120ml)

What is Protektor Spray?
Protektor Spray containing the active ingredient fipronil is considered a parasiticide type of medication for pets 8 weeks of age or older. It is used to treat and prevent adult fleas, ticks and chewing lice for at least 30 days after application. 24 hours after the pet’s body is covered with the spray all the fleas, ticks and lice that have been attached to the pet will have been killed.

How is Protektor Spray used?
Protektor Spray should be applied topically to the entire body of the animal from a distance of approximately 10 to 20cm every 30 days. Spray against the lay of the hair and make sure the entire coat is dampened. Ruffle the coat, especially in pets with long hair so the product can penetrate down to the skin. Allow the medication to dry naturally and not towel dry. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage as it will depend on the pet’s condition and weight.

Adverse effects
Protektor Spray may cause unwanted side effects such as:

• Drooling
• Redness
• Itching
• Seizures

Contact a veterinarian immediately should side effects persist or worsen.

Warnings
The medication should be used externally and prevented from digested.

Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.

Protektor Spray is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.
