What is Puralube Vet Ointment?
Puralube Vet Ointment containing the active ingredients light mineral oil and white petrolatum is an ophthalmic lubricant type of medication. The medication works by forming a film over the pet’s eye to prevent eye dryness and protect the eyes from further irritation. Some people may also use it to protect pet’s eyes during bathing and surgical procedures where eyes may become dry.
How is Puralube Vet Ointment used?
To apply Puralube Vet Ointment, pull down the lower eyelid and apply a small amount (one-fourth inch) of ointment to the inside of the eyelid. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on your pet’s condition and their response to the therapy.
Adverse effects
Puralube Vet Ointment is generally very well tolerated with no known side effects.
Warnings
