What is Ramitax?
Ramitax (Ramelteon) is a hypnotic sedative (sleeping pill). It can help people with sleep onset insomnia fall asleep.
How is Ramitax used?
Recommended dosage of Ramitax is one tablet (8mg) taken before going to bed.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Ramitax must not be taken with fatty foods or just after eating fatty foods.
Adverse effects
Mild and temporary side effects you may experience when taking Ramitax include diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and tiredness.
There are also some more serious side effects associated with taking Ramitax. Tell you doctor immediately if you notice:
- signs of allergic reaction
- amenorrhea (missed menstrual cycle)
- decreased libido
- hallucinations
- headaches
- memory problems
- mood changes
- anxiety or depression
- discharge from nipples
- suicidal thoughts
- worse insomnia
Other side effects not listed may also occur. Tell you doctor if you notice anything different when taking Ramitax or if you begin to feel unwell taking Ramitax (Ramelteon).
Warnings
Because Ramelteon is a sedative it will cause drowsiness. It can also cause dizziness in some people. Don't drive a car or operate machinery until you have been taking Ramitax long enough to know how it affects you.
Ramitax may not be the best treatment option if you are pregnant. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breast-feeding. Your doctor may recommend a different treatment for your insomnia.
Other prescription medicines or over-the-counter medicines can interact with Ramelteon. Let you doctor know of all other medicines you are currently taking before taking Ramleteon. |
