What is Rosulip?
Rosulip works by increasing the levels of “good” cholesterol (high density lipoprotein or HDL) while also decreasing the levels of “bad” cholesterol (low density lipoprotein or LDL). The active ingredient rosuvastatin belongs to a class of medications called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors (statins). The medication should be used along with a proper exercise regime, diet and other lifestyle changes to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood to reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, angina and other heart complications.
How is Rosulip used?
Rosulip should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually once per day. It can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct length of treatment and dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as abruptly stopping the treatment may cause the body to create bad cholesterol again.
