What is Sebizole Shampoo?
Sebizole Shampoo containing the active ingredient ketoconazole is an imidazoles type of antifungal medication. It can help slow the growth of fungi infections by interfering and killing their cell membranes. The shampoo is used to control flaking, scaling and itching of the scalp caused by dandruff.
How is Sebizole Shampoo used?
Sebizole Shampoo should be used every 3 to 4 days for up to 8 weeks or as directed by a doctor. Once the dandruff has cleared up, it can be used once every 1 to 2 weeks to prevent the condition from returning. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the length of the patient’s hair, the condition of the scalp and their response to the therapy. The hair should be wet with warm water prior to applying the medication. Apply the shampoo and massage the lather into the scalp gently with the fingertips and leave in place for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it out with warm water.
