What is Terapress-2?
Terapress containing the active ingredient terazosin belongs to a class of medications called alpha blockers. The medication works by relaxing the blood vessels to allow for easier blood flow through the body to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Older men diagnosed with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) may also use the medication to relax the muscles around the prostate and bladder to treat conditions such as difficulty urinating, weak stream, painful urination, incomplete bladder emptying as well as urinary frequency and urgency.

How is Terapress-2 used?
Terapress is usually taken orally once per day at bedtime unless otherwise directed by a doctor. The medication can be taken with or without food along with a glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the therapy. It is not recommended to start the treatment with a dose of over 1mg as it may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure leading to dizziness or fainting.
