What is Terramycin Skin Ointment?
Terramycin Skin Ointment containing the active ingredient oxytetracycline and polymyxin B sulfate is considered a tetracycline antibiotic type of medication. The medication works by interfering with the cell walls of bacteria to prevent them from producing proteins essential for their reproduction. The ointment is mainly prescribed to treat bacterial infections such as acne and as a prevention of skin infections caused by minor cuts, scratches, scrapes, burns, abrasion and insect bites.
How is Terramycin Skin Ointment used?
Terramycin Skin Ointment is usually administered topically 1 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor.
