What is Viaderm KC Cream?
Viaderm KC Cream containing the active ingredient triamcinolone acetonide is a potent topical corticosteroid type of medication. The medication works by reducing the actions of chemicals in the body that cause swelling, itching, dryness, scaling, redness and inflammation. It can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and allergic reactions.
How is Viaderm KC Cream used?
Viaderm KC Cream is usually applied topically 2 to 4 times per day or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Prior to applying to cream, thoroughly wash and dry your hands and the affected area. Coat the affected area with a thin layer of the medication and gently massage it in. Do not cover the treated area with dressing or wear tight clothing unless the doctor recommends you to do so.
Adverse effects
Patients using Viaderm KC Cream may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Burning, itching or irritation at application site
- Dry or cracking skin
- Skin discoloration
- Thinning of skin
- Stretch marks
- Greatly increased hair growth
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Viaderm KC Cream is not always suitable for all patients.
