What is Zonisep 25?
Zonisep 25 containing the active ingredient zonisamide is considered an antiepileptic or anticonvulsant type of medication. It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain and prevent the excessive seizure causing signals from spreading through the brain. The medication can be used alone or along with other drugs to prevent and control partial seizures in adults with epilepsy.
How is Zonisep 25 used?
Zonisep 25 is usually taken orally 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication can be taken with or without food but should be taken with plenty of water throughout the treatment to prevent kidney stones.
