What is Zoxan D Eye/Ear Drop?
Zoxan D containing the 2 active ingredients ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone is both a quinolone antibiotic and corticosteroid type of medication. The medication works by preventing bacteria from reproducing and reducing inflammation, swelling, redness, irritation and itchiness. It can be used to treat infections of the eyes or ears, including swimmer’s ear.
How is Zoxan D Eye/Ear Drop used?
Zoxan D is usually applied 2 times per day, evenly spaced 12 hours apart or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the therapy. The drops should be administered in the same way other eye or ear drops are, consult a health care provider for further assistance. Always continue with the medication until the fully prescribed cycle is complete, even if symptoms have cleared, as abruptly stopping the treatment may allow the infection to return and cause the bacteria to become harder to treat.
Adverse effects
Patients using Zoxan D may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

Warnings
