Visits of women after 45 years to doctors. Part 1

“And live to 100 years old!” is probably the most popular wish on any holiday. And in order not to disappoint their guests and to fulfill their wishes to the full, every woman (and the article is devoted to the most beautiful sex) should take care of their health before any symptoms of the disease appear. It is easier to warn than cure. And most of all, this applies to those ladies who have crossed the 45-year border. At this age, you need to more closely monitor your health and pay more attention to disease prevention and their timely diagnosis. So what kind of diagnostics and how often women should be examined after 45 years? Let’s understand more.

Why 45?

It was not by chance that we chose this age. If it is useful to visit specialists regularly from the age of 20 to 40, then after 40 years it is simply necessary. Most women find themselves “accumulated” for all previous years various chronic diseases with the approach of 40 years. Often these diseases come as “crowd”. And the danger is that the symptoms and manifestations of most of these chronic ailments are very similar. As a result, women self-diagnose, treat them wrongly, and lead to unpleasant, even not irreversible, consequences. Moreover, drugs that are not compatible can be used to treat two or more diseases. Thus, a very high load on the liver, heart, kidneys and many other systems of the body is appearing. As a result, the disease is not cured, and treatment has more detrimental effects also.

What to start?

In the first place among the main causes of early death and disability are non-infection chronic diseases, namely cardiovascular, chronic respiratory, diabetes. The peculiarity of these ailments is that they progress very slowly and for a long time there is no indication, and therefore, annual unscheduled examinations by specialists in these fields are a guarantee of timely prevention of their development.

Cancer is next on the list. The most common problems women of 45 years of age are cervical and breast cancer. A special place is occupied by endocrinology dysfunctions, especially disorders of the thyroid gland. We suggest you visit each specialist individually and highlight the most important points of your health.

Therapist

It is worth starting with this visit. The therapist (or family doctor) will analyze the general condition of the organism, most likely, will appoint the submission of tests (blood, urine, feces), the results of which will show to which specialists it is necessary to turn for a more thorough examination. Therefore, it makes sense to bring with you to the appointment with the therapist all the previous results of analyzes over the years, or your medical record. By comparing them with new ones, the doctor will be able to determine, for example, whether there is progress/regression in any chronic disease. It is also very important to donate blood for biochemical analysis that is able to evaluate the function of the internal organs (kidneys, pancreas, liver, etc.), determine the level of cholesterol, which excess can lead to blood clots in vessels.
