How not to get sick if you get wet?

Summer rains, spring thaw, winter wet snow, autumn downpour, – weather conditions, which say: “You will be wet!” Specialists do not recommend being in wet shoes and clothes for a long time and provide a list of recommendations in case you get wet.

What diseases can occur?

The consequences of walk in the rain can be such diseases:

  • Rhinitis, colds, acute respiratory infections. Many people consider these diseases to be minor troubles, but they can cause complications such as sinusitis and pneumonia;
  • Inflammation of the ovaries, cystitis – these are diseases with an unpleasant set of symptoms, which in the future can serve as a catalyst for infectious diseases of the kidneys;
  • Various renal diseases, inflammation of the bladder – untimely treatment of these diseases contributes to the development of chronic nephritis;
  • Arthritis is a joint lesion that can lead to disability;
  • Prostatitis is a disease, that directly affecting the occurrence of male infertility;
  • Sciatica;
  • Fungal diseases cause discomfort, unpleasant sensations and itching on the skin of the feet. Do not overdo it with warming your legs. Tights, several pairs of socks, boots with fur lining – this combination is perfect atmosphere for the propagation of pathogenic microbes. Also, do not constantly walk in rubber boots. Only a dermatologist can help you get rid of these unaesthetic lesions by prescribing a special course of treatment (such as Zolax or Triflucan).

Parents of young children are advised to take good care of their child during rainy weather. Do not let your child get their feet wet. And if this happened, then you need to take some action immediately.

You can avoid the development of one of the expected unpleasant consequences. For this, shoes should not be chosen on the basis of the “fashionable-unfashionable” principle, but on the principle of “with or without a waterproof surface.” If you will not “swim in the puddles” in shoes with a waterproof coating, then your legs will most likely remain dry.

Tips in case you get wet feet

If your feet are wet, you urgently need to do certain actions to quickly restore the “dry state” of the legs.

Experts advise:

  • change shoes as soon as possible. You must get to your destination as soon as possible and change your shoes. Can’t you do that? Than just take off your wet shoes and stay in a dry warm building. The main thing is that the legs “are not pickled” in wet shoes and socks, as this can contribute to the development of fungal and other diseases;
  • get warm. If it is possible, warm your hands under a stream of warm water. It is on the hands that the active points are placed that give “warming signals” to the whole organism;
  • make a massage. This will help improve blood flow and rouse the strength of your immunity. To speed up warming, massage can be done with the help of a woolen cloth, as well as with the use of warming ointments or alcohol-containing liquids.
  • hot drink. Of course, the best option is green tea or herbal tea with honey and ginger.
