Wash hands more often and use antiseptics
This tip is the first on the list of WHO recommendations. There is no particular need to explain here – personal hygiene helps to get rid of germs that are already on the skin.
But coronavirus is transmitted in several ways, including airborne droplets. That is, it can be inhaled in transport or in a store. And it should be borne in mind that, for example, on metal objects the coronavirus lives up to 12 hours.

Wear a mask
As for masks, there is no unequivocal opinion even among the doctors. Some believe that everyone needs to wear masks in the area of infections. Others say that masks are needed primarily for patients – so as not to spread the infection. Healthy people don’t need masks, moreover, they can even be “harmful” – they don’t save the virus, but they form a deceptive sense of security.
In fact, the truth is, as always, in the middle. Masks really do not completely protect the respiratory system from the virus. But they can reduce the concentration of the pathogen that enters the body. Therefore, in places of large crowds of people (in transport, in the queue in a store, especially where there is no way to keep a distance), it is better to use masks. At the same time, they need to be changed after 2-4 hours, removed, trying not to touch the surface of the mask, then wash your hands.
Another argument in favor of masks is that coronavirus can be asymptomatic for some time, and a person, without knowing it, already becomes a source of infection. A mask can reduce risks to others.
It is not necessary to wear masks on the street, since the concentration of the virus in the open air is many times less than in the room.

Strengthen immunity
It is a strong immunity that can guarantee that the body will not be infected with a coronavirus or, in extreme cases, the disease will passes in a mild form.
Everyone knows that in order to strengthen immunity, you need to play sports, eat a balanced diet and not be nervous. But, it is clear that a healthy lifestyle must be maintained constantly, and not just during the epidemic. It is necessary to start strengthening immunity right now so as not to get coronavirus infection. And the use of immunomodulators can be even dangerous. There are few remedies with proven effectiveness, and side effects may turn out to be the most unexpected (it is believed that some autoimmune diseases may be provoked). In addition, taking immunomodulators, antiviral drugs or antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription can reduce symptoms, but not cure the coronavirus. And then making the right diagnosis will be more difficult.

Drink hot water, not whiskey with ice
There are now a lot of tips on folk methods. Whether garlic can “kill” the coronavirus and quickly strengthen the immune system is a big question. Same thing is with alcohol. Despite the legends that whiskey “disinfects” the body, alcohol can only do harm, as it weakens the immune system. It is better to drink warm or even hot water. Doctors from Wuhan noted that coronavirus is thermally unstable and dies at a temperature of 27 degrees.

Sitting at home
As the practice of China shows, it was quarantine that turned out to be the most effective way to combat coronavirus.
